Straight answers.
Are crew employees or contractors?+
Employees. Every crew member works as a W-2 employee of Air Fresh Marketing. That means payroll taxes, workers' comp and overtime are handled, and you are not carrying misclassification risk.
How fast can you staff an event?+
You can book up to the day before. Bookings under 72 hours carry a 15% rush rate and under 24 hours carry 25%, because that is when we have to pull people off other plans. Most clients book a week or more out.
What happens if someone doesn't show?+
You are never billed for a no-show. On managed bookings we keep a backup bench on call and a team lead calls the gap. Reliability scores drop for late drops and no-shows, so repeat offenders stop getting offered work.
Do you do union work?+
No. We book non-union scope only. Many convention centers require house or union labor for booth build, freight and rigging. We flag the venue at quote time so you can book the house crew for that scope and use our crew for engagement.
What does the 4-hour minimum mean?+
Every person is billed and paid for at least 4 hours per shift, even if the shift runs shorter. It is standard in event staffing and it is how good people can afford to say yes to short calls.
Can I request the same crew again?+
Yes. Favorite anyone who worked your event and they get first offer on your future shifts in that market. You can also block someone from your events.
How does GPS check-in work for crew privacy?+
Crew opt in to sharing location at check-in and check-out only. We never track location between those moments. Crew who decline can still check in manually and their team lead confirms they are on site.
Can I get a certificate of insurance?+
Yes. A COI is available on request, and we confirm limits and additional insured wording per booking before the event.
